About Rooster
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Some dogs come into rescue with a story, and Rooster's story will tug at your heartstrings. This handsome 4-year-old Standard Poodle lost his beloved mom about six months ago, and now he's looking for the special someone who can help him start a brand new chapter. Rooster is the ultimate people-lover—whether you're a man, woman, or child, if you've got hands for petting, you're immediately his favorite. He's a fantastic car companion, fully house trained, and settles nicely in a kennel, though he'll gently remind you he'd rather be out spending time with you if you're home. Social with other dogs, Rooster brings unbridled enthusiasm to every play session. While his joyful energy is infectious, he can show dominant behavior with another male dog and sometimes forgets his manners in his excitement. With the right guidance and continued structure, he's sure to blossom. Rooster comes with so many wonderful qualities: house and kennel trained, knows basic commands like sit, shake, and kennel, and he never counter surfs. Mostly, he loves people of all ages and is ready to give his heart to a family who will embrace his playful spirit. What Rooster truly needs is someone willing to help with a little obedience tuning, provide the right structure around other dogs, and channel his boundless energy into fun and positive outlets. He's looking for a home where he can be silly, loved, and shaped into his best version. As a fun fact, Rooster was born under the sign of Aries, which makes him bold, enthusiastic, and ready for new adventures. If your heart and home are ready (plus, maybe a few squeaky toys!), Rooster is more than ready to meet you. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
