About Bella Lee
Bella Lee ACCT-A-246218 is a 3-year-old female that was brought in by APOs with Rottie Lee as a stray on 3/27. APOs noted that she "was lured to APO with food. It took about half an hour but was able to leash and put in truck; no aggression shown but use caution when handling. Bella Lee was resistant on a leash, and she had to be picked up and put in truck." Bella Lee has been very nervous in our care, but with even a couple of days, she has opened up a little bit to show us what a sweet pup she is! Bella Lee is looking for a rescue to take her in & give her the time and space she needs to decompress and truly blossom! She will need to go to a home with another dog as she really comes out of her shell around them. Best suited for a home with older kids and the whole family should be present at the time of the adoption. Playgroup 3/29/26: No steer test preformed due to fearfulness Once she entered the yard she completely loosened up! Tail came untucked and was mid wagging, with soft eyes and ears to the side. Zooming around the yard, immediately playing. Per staff 3/29/26 (Regarding meet with Balenze): High tail, ears back. Balenze barked and she backed up with a stiff body, ears pinned back and high wagging tail. Sniffed Balenze with a mid level tail, ears back, loose body. Allowed Balenze to sniff her with her ears back, loos body, mid level tail wags and soft eyes. Per staff on 3/29: "Kennel Presentation: Standing on her hind legs and front paws on the kennel door. Her ears were forward, wide/ soft eyes and tail tucked. When I approached the kennel she moved away with a crouched, tensed body. Avoidant of eye contact however kept eating the treats I was tossing in. Leash Skills: When I opened the door she moved further away and went onto the bed. Lowered head and wide eyes. Was able to leash up and then tried to treat lure out of the kennel. She made it to the the door and laid down. Tried light leash pressure and she pulled back on the leash. She let me pick her up and place her on the ground. Her body was lower to the and crawling through the kennels. Hesitant to go through doorways and needs encouragement. Sociability: Nervous/shy. Laid down when I moved closer to her with wide eyes and ears forward. I was able to do some light petting, however she did not solicit for more. Takes treats nicely.
