A volunteer writes: Faye and Antonio Lex are cute twins and true pals. Born at home(relinquished because of "too many pets" and spraying), they were always found together and inseparable like the fingers on a hand. Same thing at the care center and even more so as they are kind of overwhelmed by the drastic change in their life, having lost their home and their family. They are most often found huddled together on a kuranda bed or in a corner of their kennel. Initially, they avoided our touch but time and the efforts of staff and volunteers have a bit shaken off their fear and lack of trust. Antonio Lex took the lead and rolls on his side "to be cute" and accepts gentle petting on his neck, back and chin. Faye still needs to be convinced but he is watching carefully his brother's moves and I bet will follow soon in his footsteps. Faye and Antonio Lex were known as cuddlers and very loving toward their family and housemate cats. They needed time to warm up around visitors and never mingled with kids or dogs. Faye and Antonio Lex made good progress within our walls and we are hoping for just the same in a quiet(without rambunctious children) home with a new owner who understands shy felines.
