About Honey Lovekins

**$104.95 in pledges to any rescue that may pull!** *New Playgroup Videos 3/30* Honey Lovekins ACCT-A-244588 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Honey Lovekins must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1ST at 10AM. Should Honey Lovekins' medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Honey Lovekins came to ACCT Philly as an owner surrender on March 6th. They were watching her for a relative, but that person was never able to take her back and they were unable to keep her long-term. While she started off very shy, Honey Lovekins is a playful, affectionate girl who blossoms once she feels comfortable. Staff and volunteers describe her as sweet, happy, and a total goofball. She has done well meeting other dogs, showing good gate greetings and loosening up into playful, zoomie-filled energy. The transformation she's made since arriving has been remarkable, and she's only just getting started. All she needs is a home to truly thrive. Due to her length of stay, Honey Lovekins is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter. VIDEOS: NEW! So sweet and fun. Per volunteer 3/23: Low energy. Sweet and playful. Nice walk. Per staff 3/23, playgroup: Steerable 2/5 with water, 0/5 with can. Good gate greetings, ears to the side, handler orientated, quick spin moves. Per volunteer 3/21: Very mild issues with jumpiness. Medium energy. Super sweet and happy. Per volunteer 3/20: Medium energy. Very interested in other dogs, happy tail through fence. The sweetest goofball. Loves to sniff. Will jump for treats. Per staff 3/20: Kennel Presentation: Sitting at the front with ears back, mouth closed, eyes soft, took treats, gently easy to leash. Leash Skills: Pulled mildly. Sociability: Somewhat social, interacted with me a few times for a few seconds at a time, was much more interested in meeting the other dog. Neutral body language around me and did not seem to be soliciting attention, nor avoiding me. Play: Did not do. Dog Interaction: Met Cassie: Initially, slightly tense tail wags, higher than middle tail, and pilo erection on her back. Curious and slightly tense. Loosened up greatly and was doing lots of choppy movements and zoomies as the meet went on and played with a dropped leash. Sought me out when I believe she was done playing, and we walked back to the kennel together. Return to Kennel: Easy. Color Level: Gold. Per staff 3/18: Medium energy. Sweet, calm girl. Per volunteer 3/17: I met Honey Lovekins in the cold club yard when another volunteer had her outside. Honey Lovekins hadn't been outside with a volunteer in several days; she was on observation for ringworm and she had a cold. When I came into the yard, she rushed right over to jump up to give me some big hugs. Her energy level was a little high, and she ran around like a silly girl and rolled over on her belly for the other volunteer to give her belly rubs. She is slightly shy and submissive, but she still really seemed to enjoy the belly rubs. She did a little more scampering around the yard, then came over to me and sat nicely when I asked. She's a tad skinny and was grabby with the treats, so I tossed the treats to her - and she was great at catching them. She is playful, happy and a very sweet little girl. She'll be a special companion to whoever adopts her. Per volunteer 3/17: Medium energy. So sweet, submissive, loves belly rubs, got zoomies in the yard, sniffed around a ton. Per staff 3/14: Medium-low energy. Good, easy to walk. Per volunteer 3/10: Low energy. Very calm, very sweet, likes pets, loves music. Per volunteer 3/9: Low energy. Chill, real calm. Per volunteer 3/8: Very mild issues with jumpiness. Medium energy. Getting better! Met lots of pups! Had a great time. Per staff 3/8: Super sweet and playful once she knows you. I took her out for the first time today and within 15 minutes she was jumping on my lap giving me kisses on my face. Per volunteer 3/7: Significant issues getting out of kennel, mild issues walking through kennels, moderately shy. Medium-low energy. So sweet, scared, likes treats. Per owner surrender notes 3/6: Honey is described as very energetic, happy, and alert. She is mostly housetrained. She has social anxiety and is used to a controlled, quiet environment. She is mostly housebroken and lives indoors. She knows sit, no, and stop, and does not walk well on leash. She eats all treats. She is scared of strangers and is curious toward children, cats, and other dogs. They feel she would fit perfect in a family home/ outside country/ suburban area. She needs space / & outdoors. - Due to being significantly overcapacity with animals and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted.
