About Nugget

Start your journey together! Apply now. Nugget is a truly handsome fellow who embodies the best qualities of his MinPin and Dachshund heritage. At six years old and a petite 18 pounds, he came to the rescue after being found in a park with his canine family—clearly abandoned and in need of a fresh start. While his partner and their puppies found safety elsewhere, Nugget is now fully vetted and ready to begin a new chapter in a forever home. Nugget adapts easily to new environments and will quickly become a quiet and loving companion, though he also enjoys some independence. He's lived harmoniously with other calm dogs but is just as happy as the center of attention as an only pet. While he isn’t much for roughhousing, he peacefully coexists with his fellow canines. Nugget's favorite pastime is a leisurely walk followed by lounging and sunbathing in a safe, secure yard—a true sun worshipper at heart. He’s house trained with outdoor access and loves his meals, making him an easygoing dog who brings lots of mellow affection. Nugget is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Adoption is limited to Southern California residents, as he requires an in-person meet and greet, home check, and trial period. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
