Petting is allowed but emotionally complicated: Pierce allows about 2.5 strokes before slowly backing away with tragic eyes. Meryl tolerates one chin scratch, then delivers a deeply offended side-eye and melts away in slow-motion betrayal. Picking them up? A firm no — they turn into liquid smoke. This bonded pair does well with calm, respectful cats and would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with patient humans who understand “let them come to you.” They need high perches, toys for their wrestling matches, and plenty of time and space.
