About Luna

A5759462 Meet Luna , an 8-year-old German Shepherd mix with a plush white coat that looks like she’s been dusted in powdered sugar. Her rich chocolate brown eyes pop beautifully against her snowy fur, giving her a truly striking look. True to her breed, Luna is whip smart, alert, and endlessly curious - she’s ready to trade kennel life for real adventures by your side. She was surrendered due to some food-guarding tendencies, but with mindful management and continued training, she can absolutely thrive in the right home. Because of this, Luna would do best in an adults-only environment where her boundaries are respected. She still has so much life, love, and loyalty to give - she’s just waiting for someone to give her the chance! Will that be you? -8 year old white German Shepherd mix -80 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/3/26 as an owner surrender due to food aggression - we don’t know what exactly happened, but this behavior can be managed successfully with the right approach! -has all the wonderful qualities of her breed, perfect for shep lovers -would do best in an adults only home, as little ones can accidentally overstep boundaries LUNA’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/OOo For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER.
