DOB 2/24/19 Colby is a 7-year-old long-haired silky terrier mix with the sweetest soul you could ever meet. Six years ago, we rescued him from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. He was adopted into what we hoped would be his forever home, and for six years he was a beloved companion. Sadly, due to a recent divorce, his family made the decision to surrender him back to us, as neither person was able to keep him. It's a very sad and disappointing situation — especially for a little dog who thought he had already found his happily ever after. Through it all, Colby has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful. He gets along well with dogs and cats, doesn't shed, and truly lives for snuggling with his humans. He's past the puppy phase but still has plenty of love and companionship to give. His favorite place is right next to you — on the couch, in a cozy chair, or curled up in bed. Colby doesn't understand why his world changed, but he wakes up every day ready to love again.
