Colby, born on February 24, 2019, is a long-haired silky terrier mix with a remarkably gentle spirit. At 7 years old, he has seen far more than any small dog should, having first been rescued from a hoarding situation and then spending six cherished years with a family who loved him deeply. A divorce brought him back to the rescue, through no fault of his own, but Colby still wakes up hopeful and open-hearted. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, and his coat doesn't shed, so snuggling is pure comfort. Colby has outgrown the wild energy of puppyhood but keeps a loving, devoted temperament. He wants nothing more than to be at your side, whether curled up on the couch, nestled into a favorite chair, or tucked in beside you at night. Change has confused him, but he still meets each day with trust and affection. Colby is ready for someone who cherishes calm, loyal companionship. Adoption fee includes a vet visit, deworming, current vaccinations, neutering, and lifetime microchip registration. Every February baby has a touch of Pisces sweetness, and Colby lives up to it.
