Alright, hear us out! This one is a big ask BUT we feel like these two senior besties deserve a nice retirement home together. These sweet sisters are 14 years old and have been together their entire lives. What makes the ask even bigger? Gracie has thyroid disease and Baby is diabetic. Both are well-controlled on their medications. Gracie's med is just an ointment rubbed in her ears twice a day. It costs about $15/month. Baby is on a pill for her diabetes (No insulin injections needed!). However the cost of this med is about $75-100/month. Personally, we think they are worth it! They really deserve a guardian angel. They came to us when their owner lost her home and have been here since the New Year getting themselves healthy and ready for a final home to call their own. If you are looking for a nice pair of seniors to round out your couch, give these two gals a chance! Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need. Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
