When you first visit him just sit, wait and allow him to approach you first. Go too fast and he will growl and potentially nip if pushed beyond his warnings. Once Big Ben relaxes and trusts you he allows petting on his head and shoulders and he gives big headbutts. Ben is a social eater and will snack during your visit. He has shared a habitat with another cat without issues but really didn't interact.
