About Burnie
Meet Burnie--a lovable, happy-go-lucky pup with a heart as big as his adorable "pocket pittie" frame This friendly boy absolutely loves other dogs and thrives in their company. He plays beautifully and has even formed a special bond with his best buddy, a fellow foster pup named Randall. Burnie would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog, but he's also deeply devoted to his humans and enjoys soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Burnie is great with children and greets everyone with enthusiasm and affection. He's also cat-friendly, showing an indifferent and respectful attitude around feline friends--an easy addition to a multi-pet household. Burnie walks nicely on leash, rides calmly in the car (he especially enjoys watching the world go by from the window), and is excellent in his crate--he goes in on command and sleeps soundly through the night. His housetraining is still a work in progress, but he's making steady improvements with routine and consistency. With a medium energy level, Burnie enjoys playtime and toys but also settles nicely, making him a great balance of fun and companionship. He has no known anxiety or aggression issues and handles daily life with an easygoing, confident nature. Burnie's story began with hardship--he was found abandoned in a Memphis neighborhood--but thanks to rescue, he's now ready for a fresh start. What he needs most is a loving home where he can continue to grow, play, and be cherished as part of the family. His ideal home would include another friendly dog and people who will include him in daily life--whether that's playtime in the yard, relaxing evenings on the couch, or adventures together. Burnie is more than just cute--he's the total package: affectionate, social, and full of joy. He's ready to be someone's loyal best friend and bring endless smiles to his forever home. ame: Burnie Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Crossbreed (Breed Mix is not guarantee - no DNA testing has been done) Sex: Male Age: 21 weeks as of 3/31/26 Weight: 30lbs as of 3/31/26 Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced. This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE--Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
