Meet Cherry! Cherry is a young Doberman with a playful side, a smart mind, and lots of love to give to the people she trusts. She has a medium energy level, making her a great balance of active and relaxed-she enjoys walks, playtime with toys, and settling in for some downtime. Cherry appears to be housetrained and walks nicely on leash, which makes getting out and about together easy. She's also quite the student and already knows several basic commands like sit and down, plus a few fun tricks such as paw and roll over. She enjoys toys and natural chews, which are great outlets for her energy and curiosity. With familiar people, Cherry is affectionate and enjoys being near her humans. She can be a bit wary of strangers at first and may bark if someone approaches too quickly. With slow introductions and a little patience, she warms up nicely-often after the first one or two interactions. Cherry is still figuring out how to socialize with other dogs. While in our care, she has met both male and female dogs. She may start off a bit stiff and seems to have limited experience with dog play. As she relaxes, she can become more social, though her play style can be a bit pushy, and she has overcorrected when another dog approached her in a way she didn't like. Because of this, a dog-to-dog meet and greet is strongly recommended to ensure the right match. Cherry would do well with someone who appreciates a smart, engaging dog and is willing to give her time to build confidence with new people and experiences.
