Hey there, I'm Peta! A 2-year-old brindle Bulldog mix with a bit of a rocky start, but I’m ready to find my forever home. I was rescued by a kind man who saved me from a life of chains and neglect. Before rescue, I was not socialized well with other dogs and need to be the only dog in the home. I am not good with cats either. These days, I’m turning into a big lover. I go belly up for rubs any chance I get—honestly, that’s all I want now. I love people and I’m a silly, affectionate girl who’s learning how good life can be. I was raised outside, but I’m getting the hang of being an indoor dog and discovering how cozy it is. I adore toys, especially chew bones, and I’m very food motivated, which makes training easier and more fun. I’m getting better at being in a crate and would do best with older kids who can understand my need for patience and love. I might get a little overstimulated and mouthy sometimes, but I promise, with time and kindness, I’ll show you just how good of a girl I can be. I’d make a wonderful companion animal—I’ve got a lot of love to give and I’m ready to share it. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m currently in Clayton, NC, but I can travel to other states for my perfect match. Please note, there is a fee for transport.
