Vigo is a goofy, energetic guy who seems to approach life with his whole heart. He absolutely lights up when it is time to get out and play, especially if tennis balls are involved. Volunteers have described him as wiggly, affectionate, and eager to interact, with plenty of play bows, zoomies, and happy energy to share. He enjoys games of fetch, running around the yard, and soaking up attention from people once he is comfortable. Vigo also knows “sit” and has shown he can settle nicely during one-on-one time outside of the kennel. Shelter life appears to be a little overwhelming for Vigo at times, and he can become noisy and restless in his kennel while waiting for his turn to get out and burn off energy. Once outside, though, he relaxes quickly and shows a much softer, playful side. He seems like the kind of dog who will thrive with structure, activity, and people who enjoy an interactive companion. Vigo may do best with thoughtful introductions to new visitors, as he can get overly excited when meeting unfamiliar people, but he has also shown that he responds well to guidance and settles into friendly interactions. Underneath all that enthusiasm is a dog who genuinely loves people, loves to play, and is ready for someone willing to give him consistency, patience, and a fun outlet for all that personality.
