Mya is a small, curly-coated spayed female Poodle (Toy) mix living in Hartwell, GA. She isn’t house trained yet, but she’s fully vaccinated and getting care in a foster home. She needs a physical fenced yard to safely burn off her bursts of energy.

About Mya

Mya, about six years old, escaped euthanasia after ending up at a rural shelter in bad shape. Everyone thought she was a gentle 5-pound senior, but now that she feels safe, she’s shown a lot more spirit. She squirms out of your arms if you don’t hold tight, still wolfs down her food like she’s never sure when the next meal is coming, and lights up when she’s let outside. Light-colored dogs, regardless of their size, really set her off—Mya goes into full-blown tough-dog mode, which can be a lot to handle. She does best as the only dog in the house and isn’t suited for homes with small children. A fenced yard is a must, since she runs at full tilt any chance she gets. Now living in a foster home, Mya is fully vetted, microchipped, and on preventative care. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
