Calypso originally came to HHR in 2019, just hours before being euthanized at an overcrowded municipal shelter. She was adopted quickly by the most amazing man and was loved unconditionally for many years. Calypso's dad died unexpectedly a few years back, and we were assured the rest of the family was committed to Calypso (and his housemate Sam, also HHR alum). A few weeks ago, the family showed up with Sam and Calypso unannounced and surrendered them back to us. Neither had seen a year in several years- not since their dad passed away. Both cats were understandably upset and scared. After some time in foster care and a few vet visits, both are ready for forever homes. Calypso is about 8 years old now. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. She recently had bloodwork and all checked out great.
