All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Mama: This beautiful girl truly lives up to her name- graceful, gentle, and oh-so-loving. Mama is incredibly easygoing and settles into her new environments with ease. Even though she enjoys a tasty treat, she'll happily choose head scratches and affection every single time. She hasn't been in her foster home long, but she's already showing her snuggly, affectionate side. Mama loves lounging on her cat tree, soaking up the attention, and being near her people. Mama previously lived with cats and kids and did just fine. She has never been around a dog before but due to her gentle nature and good temperament, we think she would do fine with a friendly and calm dog. If you're looking for a gorgeous, low-key companion who just wants love, Mama is your girl! All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
