Cayenne is a sweet but spunky boy who adores attention, especially from other cats. He loves being right in the center of the activity, but he does spook easily with loud noises. While he's slow to warm up and is still learning to trust people other than his favorite human, he's an extremely lovable cat. He was a little stubborn when he was first taken in by the rescue, but part of that stems from him being fiercely loyal to those he trusts. His foster family worked with him continuously until he adapted to an indoor life, which he now thrives in. Due to his shy nature, Cayenne would do best in a quieter house without young children. He's also not a fan of being picked up but does like pets and will often hang out on the couch or bed next to his human. While it's not known how he would do with dogs, he would likely do better in a house without them. However, not only does he do well with other cats, he absolutely NEEDS a playmate. He's happiest when he has a buddy, and he never leaves the side of the other cats in his foster home. He's constantly playing with them, zooming, and rubbing against them. His favorite toys include anything with a bell and laser toys. He's approximately 7 months old as of 4/1/2026. Because of his shy nature, people interested in adopting him will need to visit him at his foster home until he is ready for Petco. Cayenne is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV & FIV, is microchipped, and is neutered.
