About Newbie
Newbie is a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who has spent her earliest months learning from her foster brother and sister in Saint Petersburg, FL. Sheās shy in new environments and will need a family willing to move at her paceānew experiences can be overwhelming, so patience is key. Sheās most herself around other dogs, so it would be best if her new home has a confident dog sibling to help her come out of her shell. While she does get along with the resident cat, she keeps her distance and doesnāt interact much. Noisy homes or those with small children likely wonāt be the best fit, as Newbie prefers a calm environment where she can decide when sheās ready to approach. Sheās happiest when running and playing in a fenced yard. Sheās making progress with house trainingāsheāll go when let outsideābut is still uncomfortable in a crate. Adopters must be based in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, or Manatee County due to vet location requirements and should be home during the day, as Newbie is far too young to be left alone for long periods. Sheās spayed and her vaccines are current. Think you can offer the patient, dog-savvy home Newbie needs? They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
