The mass was identified as a cystic basal cell tumor, which is a common benign skin growth. The good news is that it was fully removed, and surgery is considered curative with an excellent prognosis. Recurrence is unlikely, but his adopters should monitor the area for any new lumps. Fred is ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving home.
