If resilience had a face, it might just look like Raya. Raya is an approximately 3-year old, 10 lb sweetheart who has already been through more than most dogs ever should. After being hit by a car and picked up by Animal Control, she came to us with multiple fractures in her hip and pelvis. This brave girl underwent FHO surgery and ---true to her spirit--- is already on the road to recovery and doing wonderfully. Despite everything she's been through, Raya hasn't let it dim her light. She is active, curious, and incredibly resilient--a true little trooper. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and is taking her recovery in stride. Raya is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and appears to be potty trained. She does well with respectful children and , while her dog interactions have been limited during recovery, she has not shown any concern around other dogs. She will need a home that can continue to support her healing journey and help her regain strength and confidence---but in return, you'll get one of the most special, inspiring companions you could ever hope for. Raya's story could have ended very differently...but instead, it's just beginning.
