Polaroid is the kind of dog whose magic reveals itself slowly— and once it does, it’s impossible not to fall completely in love. Daily Routine & Lifestyle Polaroid is a low-key, easy companion who thrives on a simple, predictable routine. His day typically starts anywhere between 6–10am with a potty break. Breakfast is served around 8am (he prefers his food softened with warm water), and he’ll head out again shortly after to potty once he’s finished eating. He enjoys a calm day, often relaxing in his crate or hanging out in a cozy room while his person is away. When you’re home, though, expect him to be right by your side—curled up in your lap, trailing behind you, or quietly keeping you company. Dinner is around 6pm, followed by a relaxed evening walk when the weather cools down. At night, Polaroid is happiest snuggled up in bed with his person. He also makes an excellent little co-pilot— he loves car rides and is perfectly content sitting on your lap while you run errands. Personality & Temperament Polaroid is the definition of a velcro dog. He forms a deep bond with his person and wants nothing more than to be close to them at all times. He is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he’s snuggled up beside you. When he first arrived, Polaroid was shut down. With time, patience, and love, he has blossomed. His tail now wags, he explores more confidently, and his sweet personality shines through more each day. He is still a sensitive, shy boy— particularly with men— and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. But once you’re his person, his loyalty is unmatched. Social Life Polaroid has met a variety of people, including adults and an 8-year-old child, and remains consistently gentle and non-reactive. He is shy, especially around men, but has never shown any aggression toward people. With other dogs, he does well— especially those his size. He has spent time off-leash with a small dog without issue and coexisted peacefully with a larger 42 lb dog. The only time he showed any mild guarding behavior was when he was on his foster’s lap and another dog approached— he gave a brief growl but did not escalate. Energy Level & Exercise Polaroid is a true couch potato. He’s not looking for adventure—he’s looking for a lap. He gets little bursts of excitement—like when you come home or it’s mealtime— but otherwise, he’s a calm, easygoing companion. Training & Behavior Housetrained: Yes Crate-trained: Yes (may vocalize briefly when left alone) Leash walking: Still learning but making progress— he walks nicely with his person but may get startled Barking: Very quiet overall; rarely barks He doesn’t chew, dig, or get into trouble—h e’s a very low-maintenance little guy. What Makes Polaroid Special Polaroid isn’t the dog who will demand attention from everyone in the room—but he’s the dog who will quietly choose you and love you with his whole heart. He’s incredibly devoted. If he can’t find you, he’ll search the entire house until he does— checking rooms, retracing his steps, determined not to lose track of his person. It’s equal parts endearing and unforgettable. His foster describes him as one of the sweetest, most loving dogs they’ve ever had— and while he may be shy at first, his gentle, loyal nature makes him truly one of a kind. Polaroid is ready for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and never far from your side. If you’re looking for a constant companion with a tender heart, he might just be your perfect match.
