Meet Shandy 💛 Shandy is a 2-year-old Yorkie mix with a big personality packed into her 11-pound frame. She's equal parts sweet and sassy--still a little timid at first, but it's so rewarding to watch her confidence grow and her quirky personality shine through. She enjoys cuddles and kisses on her terms, but she's not a clingy "velcro" dog. After a little affection, she's off on her next adventure--sniffing, exploring, and occasionally finding something she shouldn't chew (like your favorite socks, so keep those picked up 😉). Shandy has low-to-medium energy and would do best in a home with a yard right now, as she's still learning leash skills. She's also working on house training and making steady progress, so she'll need a patient, consistent family to help her continue learning. One of her most unique features? An adorable little mohawk running down her back! And her personality matches it--spunky, funny, and full of surprises. She has some quirky habits too, like trying to "bury" her food or preferring to eat when you're nearby cheering her on. She also takes great pride in "finishing the job" on any toy with exposed stuffing. Shandy does well with other dogs and could thrive either with a canine companion or as your one-and-only. Cats and kids are unknown at this time. Her perfect home is one that will give her patience, structure, and lots of love while she continues to grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be. Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Shandy's adoption fee is $200.
