Meet Pina Colada AKA Bimini: Pina Colada, who also goes by Bimini, is a 3-year-old mixed-breed girl with a gentle heart and a thoughtful personality. She was rescued from the Bahamas in 2022 and, through no fault of her own, returned to our care in early 2025 after becoming a little protective of her owners. This does not mean Bimini is a bad dog. It simply means she cares deeply and needs people who can help her feel safe and guided. Bimini does best with confident adults or older kids who understand how to respect her space and listen to her signals. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet side comes out. Bimini has a moderate energy level-she enjoys playtime but also loves to relax. She especially likes playing with toys and having fun in her own way. Bimini can be picky about her dog friends, so slow and proper introductions are important, along with clear structure to help her succeed. With the right support, she can build positive friendships. Bimini is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel secure, learn, and grow. With patience, kindness, and leadership, she will be a loyal and loving companion ready for her forever family.
