About Humphrey

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder. Meet Humphrey, the most extroverted introvert you might ever meet! He is approximately 3 years old. This orange tabby tuxedo kitty sports a fun dip of color on his chin and the distinctive bobbed tail of a Manx cat. He might take a minute to warm up, but once you sit down, sit still, and gain his trust with a few crunchy treats, he insists on being petted with one hand and brushed with the other. When he's not begging for pets, he likes relaxing on his soft bed beneath his box house, to make him feel secure. Humphrey is more lap-adjacent than a lap sitter, but his deep purr and constant check-ins for love and affection will show you how much he enjoys being around his favorite person. What Humphrey is looking for in a home: - He’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust. - He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - He needs to live indoors only. - He has no known history with other cats. - He has no known history with dogs. - He needs children to respect his space. All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Alley Cat Project adoption fees are: - $200 per cat or kitten - $350 for pair of cats or kittens - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old) - Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts Thank you for your interest in adopting Humphrey! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt {him/her} by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
