3/31/26 In New England. We’ve named this Beagle Bruce. He doesn’t really answer to it but he does answer to the treat bag or anything that sounds remotely like treats😂 He was found as a stray with another Beagle, now named Frank. No owners have come forward. We are getting them neutered, vaccinated etc. and looking for homes for them. They are NOT bonded. Bruce has only been with me just over a week so he’s still settling in but so far, here’s what I know- He’s SO friendly and sweet. Loves to be pet and to cuddle up on the couch with me. He is a happy boy- his tail is always wagging. I’m not sure how old he is. I’m guessing 5ish but will get a guess from the vet. He has been great with my dogs. He rides good in the car. He has not barked at all. I’m waiting for it! So far he has not been overly energetic but he is happy to go outside and go for walks. He is definitely a hound, nose to the ground the whole time but is not a hunting dog. He is crate trained. Mostly house trained. Asks at the door. He has marked a few times but he’s not neutered and there are lots of smells in this house from all the fosters who have passed through. I think once he’s neutered the marking will stop.
