Gidgee is a striking Australian Cattle Dog with a blue merle coat, and she's looking for a fresh start. She was found hungry and alone, searching for food where she wasnāt welcome. Luckily, someone kind stepped in to help and reached out to rescue. After attempts to find an owner came up empty, it was clear sheād been left behind. Gidgee was taken in by a foster family experienced with Heelers, and sheās slowly regaining her trust in people. At about a year old, Gidgee weighs roughly 47 pounds and is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and soon to be spayed. She starts off shy around new peopleāno surprise given her pastābut her foster family reports that sheās warming up. Gidgee gets along with other dogs and would thrive either as a companion to another friendly dog or as the center of attention for a Heeler-savvy household. Car rides arenāt her favorite, but a cozy kennel with a soft bed is where she feels safest. Heelers pack a lot of loyalty, intelligence, and energy into a medium-sized frame.
