At 16-years-young, he has found himself without a family Despite facing significant challenges, including dental issues and undergoing surgery to remove a dime from his belly, Chico's spirit remains unbroken. With all his remaining teeth recently pulled, he may not have the strongest bite, but that hasn't dampened his affectionate nature. Chico is potty trained and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. He thrives on cuddles, gentle walks and basking in the sun. If you're looking for a loyal friend who appreciates the little things in life and has a remarkable story to share, Chico is ready to be your devoted sidekick. From the Vet: At 16 years young, Chico is living proof that life's best chapters can happen at any age. When he first joined us, he brought a few gifts we needed to address, specifically an actual dime in his stomach! We also needed to remove all of his remaining teeth and repair his oral nasal fistulas. Despite these two issues his bloodwork and overall spirits are very good for a loveable senior! After a successful dental surgery Chico is officially debt-free and feeling better than ever. Now that he's pain-free, this resilient little guy is thriving. He's traded in the hardware for a gummy smile that will absolutely melt your heart. He is managing his pain from surgery well on his current meds and there is a good chance he will need some pain/arthritis medication management during his golden years. He will get a dental recheck in early April and if adopted will be covered by TBB. All other veterinary care after adoption would be the responsibility of his adopters.
