MUST HAVE another sweet playful cat or two • Dog Friendly: Likely, with proper introductions to a chill dog or two • Kid Friendly: Absolutely—ages 13+, cat-savvy, respectful children • Special Needs: None (except your undivided attention and sense of humor) ALL ABOUT ME: Esmeralda is a large Maine Coon with an even larger personality. Her coat pattern and color are stunning with the mix of smokey grey, black and tan. She has super expressive green eyes, long ear tuffs and whiskers, and a tail that is equally as long as her body! She is an easy groom. Ezzie is a moderately talkative girl who actively trills and chats. She can be a mischievous stinker, sneaking up behind her human sitting in a chair and pulling her hair! Ezzie is also a mouthy kind of girl who likes to gently and playfully “chew” on your hand with her mouth. This girl is silly, active and flirty. She loves attention and being pet and eventually settles in by her human(s). She is a bit reserved to start off but really does enjoy always being near her human(s). She also enjoys a view overlooking her surroundings from her big, sturdy cat tree. Ezzie uses both vertical and horizontal scratchers but seems to prefer the horizontal ones. One of her favorites is an 18” x 24” carpet sample piece. Ezzie not only likes her human companions, but she also loves the company of other friendly cats like herself. Another young, gentle cat or two to play and hang with would be epic, as Ezzie is very gentle herself.  A quieter home without “too much” of anything would be ideal. Feline pals are a must, but a calm, teen or two may be fine too, as long as the home is not chaotic. She will not thrive in chaos. But with any new animal, starting off in a safe space with plenty of time to acclimate is critical. Ezzie is perfect with her litter box. (REMEMBER—Maine Coons need extra-large litter boxes. No covers.) She uses unscented grass litter. She is a big eater and loves her turkey or chicken Wellness canned food or turkey American Journey (Chewy brand) canned food. We would recommend staying with both, as changing her food abruptly does upset her tummy. We recommend schedule feeding since she really enjoys eating and would easily become overweight.
