He is a one and half year-old ball of joy and excitement, and he needs to go to a home where he will be able to express that excitement in a healthy way. Arlo needs to exercise his body and his incredibly active mind, and this can be done with food puzzles and ample time for him to sniff exciting smells on walks. Arlo has lived outside on his own for quite a while, so he is still working on being brave when he hears a sudden noise. However, Arlo warms up to strangers quite quickly and has been friendly with other dogs. You'll know exactly when Arlo wants pets because he will happily put himself right in front of you with an expectant grin. A volunteer recently spent some time with Arlo and wanted everyone to more about this great pup: "Arlo is a happy, out-going and active guy. He walked like a pro with me this morning - he was loose on leash and easily redirected. He has mastered sit and easy to show it off! He is so eager to please that I think he could learn just about doggy skill in no time. Just be sure to bring some cheese. He tries hard to make other doggy friends at the shelter - he often gives a play bow when he spots other dogs and tries to lick them through the kennel bars."
