Dusty is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR), but is suffering from severe dermatologic disease and bilateral ear infections. His skin condition is extensive, causing significant discomfort, inflammation, and risk for secondary infections. His ears are also affected, requiring ongoing treatment and management. Dusty will need comprehensive veterinary care, including medicated treatments for his skin, therapy for his ear infections, and close monitoring to ensure proper healing. This level of ongoing medical care and support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his discomfort, Dusty remains gentle and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. He urgently needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive consistent treatment and the dedicated care necessary to restore his comfort and quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
