About Kayce

Meet Kayce! Kayce came to CCHS as an owner surrender after schedule changes left not enough time to spend with him. This handsome Husky/Lab mix is just over a year old and weighs roughly 71.5lbs currently. Kayce is a hardworking, loyal pup that just wants a person of his own to stick to the side of! He doesn't quite fully grasp that animals smaller than him don't like being in his mouth, so he would do better in a home with no cats or smaller livestock. We aren't entirely certain what his exact breed makeup is, but we can tell you he is 100% Handsome Man! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Kayce today! Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you! Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $100. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
