About Shy
Shy is a three-year-old Shiba Inu with a soft apricot and golden coat. She tends to be reserved at first, but once she feels comfortable, her personality comes through. Shy has gotten along with everyone she’s met here—people and dogs alike. Before arriving, she was housetrained and she’s already showing good leash manners, happily trotting by your side on walks. She likes to play with her toys, loosening up once she knows she’s safe. There’s a gentle side to her, and with a bit of patience, you’ll see why her name suits her so well. Questions about Shy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shiba Inus like Shy do well in a home where they have some space—apartments are fine as long as they get enough exercise. They settle in best with people who understand their independent but affectionate temperament.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Shy’s breed doesn't require a huge backyard, but daily walks and a secure place to play are important for a Shiba Inu. She will be satisfied with regular outings rather than constant access to a large outdoor area.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shy, being a Shiba Inu, can do well with children if socialized early and supervised. Their spirited and playful side makes them fun companions, but they prefer calm, respectful interactions.
