This small male mixed-breed Yorkie/Cairn Terrier is estimated to be 5-7 years old and calls All Mutts Great and Small his current home. With a beautiful long, soft coat that has regrown beautifully through attentive care, Wicket is now both physically and emotionally healthy. He is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations, making him ready for a smooth transition into his forever home.

Growing up in a hoarding situation, he seldom experienced the special bond most dogs long for, instead being just one of many. After the loss of his original and then subsequent caretaker, Wicket landed in a loving foster home where patience, gentle attention, and plenty of TLC helped him heal—both inside and out. With two kind humans and a pair of canine pals, Wicket discovered the joys of plush toys and learned to relish both playtime and the comfort of curling up beside friends. His house manners are impeccable: he is housebroken, uses a doggy door, and manages perfectly when left alone. Having overcome past skin issues with proper nutrition and care, his soft, silky coat is coming in beautifully. He recently had a dental cleaning during his neuter, leaving him with a healthy, shiny smile. Wicket is not a fan of crates or being picked up—understandable given his history—but he is trustworthy indoors and comfortable in a large pen if necessary. This sweet little companion thrives with other dogs, and he finds cats and a range of other animals intriguing and friendly. He isn’t a nuisance barker but will let you know if something's amiss, settling down when asked. Wicket does best with a gentle, understanding environment and would love a home that welcomes dogs into the bed at night. It is believed he is a mix of Yorkshire Terrier and Cairn Terrier, bringing together the best of both breeds: silky hair, a charming, expressive face, and a sturdy, spirited nature. At around 5-7 years old and about 8lbs, Wicket’s healthy and ready for a new start. With continued loving care, he is expected to have another decade or more of joyful companionship ahead.
