About City
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet City, a stunning blue-nosed pit bull terrier mix with a heartwarming story of resilience. At around 4 years old and weighing in at about 60 pounds, City is a strong, healthy, and happy boy with a short blue and white coat. Once underfed and abandoned, City fought his way back to health after needing surgery for a swallowed dish towel; today, he’s a lively and energetic companion who will win you over with every wag of his tail. City is wonderful with people of all ages and has done well meeting children. He’s friendly and social with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, especially after some professional training helped him channel his excitement during leash walks. Because of his size and exuberance, he’d be best in a home with another dog around his size, and requires a meet-and-greet to ensure a good fit. However, City should not be placed in a home with cats as he does not get along with them. This housebroken and crate-trained sweetheart enjoys his daily walks, relishes rolling on his back for belly rubs, and brings plenty of playful, goofy charm wherever he goes. He’s learning to manage his excitement when meeting new friends, and would thrive with patient adopters willing to continue guiding him with positive training and routines. A fenced yard would be great for his playful spirit, but he’s happy with multiple walks each day too. City has proven he’s a survivor and is ready to share his boundless love and joy with a forever family who can give him the adventure, affection, and stability he deserves. This could be the start of something paw-some.
