About Smitty

Meet City—a striking blue-nosed pit bull mix around 4 years old, neutered, and weighing about 60 lbs. He could turn heads all day. Rescued in rough shape when his previous owner left him behind, City bounced back after needing emergency surgery to remove a dish towel he ate out of hunger. Now, he’s healthy and strong. City’s got big energy and big heart. He is wonderful with people, including children, and he shines around other dogs after receiving some training to help with leash reactivity. He’s best matched with a dog his own size, and any canine introductions should happen before adoption to make sure everyone gets along. Cats are a no-go for City, so his next home must be feline-free. A fenced yard would be nice, but he’s just as happy with regular walks. Fully housebroken and crate trained, City loves his daily walks and handles the leash well. He gets silly, loves rolling around for a belly rub, and sometimes gets jumpy or overly excited with new faces or when he’s got pent-up energy—something his foster family continues to help him with. Patience pays off: City’s proven he’s resilient and ready to pour love into his forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
