Scout is a happy-go-lucky boy looking for a home he can settle into. Still seeing life through the eyes of a puppy, he loves to play with toys and other dogs and lives to put a smile on your face! He is very smart, so needs to be kept active and engaged to avoid getting into things he shouldn't. He mostly struggles with knowing what is a human-approved chew toy and which things you would prefer to be left as one piece - but he has been very responsive to corrections so just needs someone patient and willing to help him learn. He is still learning about the world so might be a bit stand offish at first, but with a little encouragement he is ready to be your best friend! Scout is housetrained and crate trained, with just a little complaining at first and then he will settle in. Scout already knows some basic things and will be a joy to continue working on training with! Scout is looking for his perfect playmate, could that be you?! Scout is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 4/11/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program.
