Hi there! My name is Sirius and I am seriously sweet! I was surrendered by a very nice gentleman who received me as a gift but just did not have the time to work with me. I am still very new at the shelter, but here is what staff know about me so far. Staff believe I am only around a year old. I do really well in a home but I am not a huge fan of a kennel, but in the previous homes I have never had an accident. I am trained on a dog door, but I do require a privacy fence or training to correct my barrier reactivity. I am a very sweet boy that has not been shown that the world is not a scary place. I can be very nervous of new things, but I trust really easily and I promise I will go where I am told even though it might be scary. I allow for handling of all sorts, since the leash is scary, you can carry me, not effortlessly, I stand well for grooming and do NEED routine grooming maintenance to manage my luscious locks. I do really well with other dogs. I have been around dogs of all sizes and in my previous home I lived with children as young as one and did fine. However you should always monitor children and dogs when they are together. I have not been tested with cats, but staff believe I would do fine with my demeanor. **Sirius will have an adoption fee of $80.00.
