About Harriet
Meet Harriet… although let’s be honest, her face is probably already doing most of the work here. Harriet is around a year old, weighs 11# and is a Chihuahua, possibly Yorkie, mix. Harriet is Moxie’s littermate. She is the wiry haired sister. These girls love each other, but are not bonded. Harriet steals a lot of the attention and Moxie can get irritable with her antics. Harriet is packed full of personality, opinions, and just the right amount of sass. Harriet is a high-energy little socialite who loves attention. In fact, if you’re petting another dog, Harriet will kindly (or not so subtly) insert herself between you and them to make sure she gets her fair share. She’s affectionate to her core, gazing up at you with those big loving eyes and gently pawing at you if you dare stop petting her. And if you’re sitting down? Expect her to roll onto her back and tuck herself under your arm like the tiny baby she believes she is. She’s got an adorable underbite, the cutest little whiskers, and a whole lot to say about the world. Harriet can be barky at new sights and sounds, so she’s not a great fit for apartment living, but she will make an excellent little watchdog who takes her job very seriously. Harriet is crate trained, house trained, and walks pretty nicely on a leash. She’s also dog friendly, as long as her future siblings understand that she may occasionally steal the spotlight. Her coat will need regular professional grooming to keep her looking fabulous and mat free. If looking for a dog who will love you fiercely, Harriet is your gal. She will be spayed on Thursday. She is current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. She has also had recent bloodwork. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet Harriet, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet. Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
