About Apple Cider
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. If you enjoy your apple cider with a bit of zest, you’ll love Apple Cider in cat form! This two-year-old Domestic Short Hair arrived at the Humane Society of Washington County 111 days ago as a very fearful stray. For a long time, Apple Cider kept her guard up, often making it difficult for anyone to get close, even just to access cats in kennels above hers. Thanks to the patience and dedication of shelter staff and volunteers—and enticing treats like Churu—Apple Cider has made incredible progress, slowly getting comfortable with gentle head pets and interactive play. Apple Cider loves batting at string toys and will even lean in for affection. However, her “spicy” side still appears; sometimes she uses her paws for play with hands rather than toys, and she’s confident about expressing her boundaries, especially during vet visits. The shelter environment is stressful for her, and she would truly flourish in a calm and loving forever home. Apple Cider is best suited for a household with older children or teens/adults, and possible slow introductions to other cats. Come meet Apple Cider in the Cat Adopt room—bring a string toy and discover her sweet but spirited personality! Start your journey together! Apply now.
