Meet Nigel — still waiting for his person Nigel is a truly great dog who has been in rescue far longer than he should be. He watches people come and go, quietly hoping that one day, someone will see him — not just his challenges, but his incredible potential. Nigel will need an experienced, confident owner. He's smart and can test boundaries when given the chance, but with structure and guidance, he thrives. He may take a few minutes to warm up to new people, which is why we recommend a home with kids over 12 who understand how to give space and respect. He gets along with most dogs, though he can be dog-selective and needs proper introductions. Nigel also does best with women, as he is uncomfortable around men — something his future family should be prepared to manage with understanding and care. Despite his long wait, Nigel is an amazing dog who wants to do well. He just needs someone willing to put in the work, advocate for him, and help him be the very best version of himself.
