About Tootles
Tootles is the sweetest, most easygoing boy you could ever meet. He seeks out attention, looks up at you with trusting eyes, and just wants to be loved. Belly rubs are one of his favorite things and he is wonderful with kids. Prior to arriving at Helping Strays, Tootles suffered a traumatic injury possibly from being hit by a car. The damage to his leg was too severe to repair so he had the leg amputated. He is doing well after surgery and is getting around just fine on three legs! Dogs are amazingly resilient and Tootles is already proving that nothing will slow him down. After he has healed from his amputation surgery, he will be neutered and treated for heartworms. This special boy deserves a family who will give him the happy, pain-free life he has been waiting for with plenty of love and belly rubs along the way. Tootles is one year old and weighs about 46 pounds. The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member. helpingstrays.org
