Meet Chicago, a beautiful 1.5-year-old black and white Mixed Breed who is ready to find her rhythm in a forever home! While she can be a little shy when meeting new faces, don't let that fool you-once she decides you're her person, her personality shines. She has a very specific and endearing way of asking for affection: if you stop petting her before she's ready, she'll gently paw at you until you find that "just right" spot. Chicago is currently thriving in a foster home, where she has proven to be observably housebroken. She previously lived with another dog similar to her size and generally enjoys canine company, though we haven't tested her with cats just yet. Because she can be a bit nervous with fast movements and loud noises, she would prefer a calm home with children aged 8 or older who can respect her space as she settles in. If you have another pup at home, we'd love to schedule a mandatory dog meet-and-greet to make sure they'll be the best of friends. This sweet, sensitive girl just needs a patient family willing to give her a little time to build her confidence.
