About Johnny
Johnny is a 12-year-old gentle giant with a heart just as big as he is! This sweet, laid-back boy is the definition of an easygoing companion—he loves to do his own thing while still being close to his people. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just going about your day, Johnny is happiest simply being nearby, quietly keeping you company. Johnny is incredibly friendly and affectionate. While he may take a little time to warm up to new people, once he does, he’ll happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give. He’s not big on being held for long, but he’ll tolerate quick pick-ups and absolutely enjoys attention on his own terms. He’s a low-maintenance cat who loves the simple things: long naps (especially under the bed), gazing out the window, and following his human around—especially at mealtime! One of his cutest habits is walking with you to get his food and then tagging along as you put everything away before heading back to eat. Johnny is fully litter trained, has a low energy level, and would be a perfect fit for someone looking for a calm, relaxed companion. He does well with kids, can be selective with other cats, and would do best in a home without dogs. He can be a bit of a flight risk with open doors and so his new parents will need to be vigilant in ensuring he doesn’t make a run for it when coming and going. He’s a senior cat but he recently got his bloodwork taken which showed he was in great health, and also had a dental procedure done with some extractions so he will be a total beacon of health when he comes home to you! Johnny truly is a special cat—he brings a quiet kind of joy that can turn a bad day around and make a good day even better. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and loving companion, Johnny might just be your perfect match. Give this sweet boy the home he deserves! Johnny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is FIV/FeLV negative. *To apply for Johnny, please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *
