Oreo never left his owner’s side. He was found lying next to them after they had passed, faithfully waiting until help arrived. Sadly, his owner’s family later surrendered him to a shelter. He was adopted, but about six months later those adopters decided they could no longer keep him. In that home, clear boundaries were never established, and Oreo began to struggle. He will need a confident, consistent handler who can provide structure and not allow unwanted behaviors to escalate. He started bullying the other dog in the household, and while it has not yet been tested, we believe he may do better in a home with a female dog or as the only pet. More than anything, we want to find Oreo the right forever home, one with patient, committed people who will give him the guidance he needs to thrive, along with the love and security he deserves.
