While Gabbito may initially be shy—especially around men—this loving boy quickly warms up with a little patience and a gentle touch, showing his true affectionate nature, particularly with women. Gabbito is wonderful with other small dogs and delights in companionship, playtime, and being close to those he trusts. He’s fully house trained, enjoys running and good meals, and is learning to feel safer on walks, although loud noises can make him a bit nervous. Gabbito’s early life was very difficult, and he came to rescue after being removed from an unsafe environment. He bears small scars from past harm, which may explain his initial fearfulness. Despite his hardship, Gabbito is amazingly resilient and has never shown aggression—only a need for love, understanding, and time to feel secure. He’s waiting in Mexico for a dedicated family ready to welcome him into their hearts and home. Once chosen, he’ll travel north for a 10-day trial, making sure it’s a great match for everyone.
