Her family first brought her home on January 5th, 2019, which they cherish as her birthday, though her exact date of birth is a mystery. At the time, she was estimated to be about 2–3 years young, and today she remains just as full of love and life. Lupe's current family adores her deeply, but due to significant life changes, they have made the loving and responsible decision to help her find a new home where she can continue to be cherished. This was not an easy choice, and their commitment to her happiness is clear. Lupe truly embodies the spirit of a people-loving companion, greeting men, women, and children with excited affection. She may sometimes greet you with a joyful jump, so she is best suited to a home where her enthusiasm can be safely enjoyed—especially with little ones or those unsteady on their feet. Lupe gets along fabulously with other dogs and cats, has no signs of aggression (even around food), and is very food-motivated while remaining gentle. She is potty trained, fine with pee pads, spayed, healthy, and not much of a barker. She also sheds very little. Though toys aren’t her favorite, Lupe delights in snuggling on the couch or resting in her bed near her beloved humans. She is calm and low-maintenance, yet she fills her home with a gentle, loving presence. Thunderstorms do scare her, but her affectionate nature always shines through. One of her most memorable features is an adorable marking on her backside that resembles an elephant with her tail forming the trunk—an endearing quirk sure to win your heart!
