About Meerkat
Meerkat is a five-month-old neutered male with a sleek black short-haired coat who has quietly transformed from a timid feral kitten into a gentle, affectionate companion. Brought into foster care alongside his mother, Meerkat has made steady progress in a calm, stable environment and now enjoys being held and offering sweet hugs—though he needs time and a sense of security before he fully relaxes. His true personality shines during gentle routines and interactive play with wand toys, but he does best in tranquility and is not suited to homes with small children. Meerkat gets along well with other cats and would adapt to a calm, respectful dog. He eats wet food in the mornings and snacks on Purina One kitten formula throughout the day. The ideal adopter will give him patience and understand that shy kittens like Meerkat open up at their own pace, forming deep bonds along the way. HART recommends kittens his age be adopted in pairs.
