Murphy landed at Big Canoe Animal Rescue after being left behind at a dog park and wandering into a nearby neighborhood. These days, he’s trading uncertain beginnings for new chances. He’s a 2.5-year-old mixed breed, largely pit bull terrier, with a muscular frame and a short bicolor coat that’s part black and part cream. Despite his size, Murphy walks well on the leash and doesn’t throw his weight around. He’s just as content spending time snoozing in the sun as he is joining you for a stroll. Murphy isn’t house trained yet, but he’s up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He gets along well with other dogs and is hoping for a family that gives him both a comfy spot to nap and someone to soak up the sunshine with. That’s the kind of real forever home he deserves.
