River Run - a 2–3‑year‑old lovebug- is the full package — affectionate, loyal, goofy, and ready to be someone’s constant companion. If you’ve ever wished for a dog who truly wants to be by your side, this boy is your dream come true. River is super loving and gives tons of kisses! He loves being near his people and would really like a home where someone is around most of the time, ready to snuggle on the couch or play tug of war. River knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is fully trained. He can be left alone for 8 hours with no issues and sleeps well in his doggy bed- though he would be so happy to sleep with his humans! He gets along well with the resident dog, though he can get a little jealous when he is not getting all the attention. He would love to be an only dog but would also do fine with a respectful canine sibling. River is not suited for homes with young children due to some resource guarding around toys. He does best with adults or older teens who understand boundaries. This sweet, affectionate boy is ready to bring joy, companionship, and endless kisses to a home that appreciates his big heart.
