About Eva
Eva has been through a lot, but she’s finally found safety. After being rescued in Puerto Rico, she made the trip to North Carolina thanks to a network of people who believed she deserved a better life. In her foster home, Eva started to find joy in play—zoomies, running with other dogs, and investigating her world with growing confidence. She arrived nervous and shutdown, understandable after all she’s experienced, but every day she opens up a little more. Recently, she surprised everyone by handling offsite adventures with new sights and sounds, even meeting cats and horses with calm curiosity. Eva loves toys, playing with dogs, and seems just as happy around cats. She’s slow to warm up to new people, so any adopter will need to give her time—several visits are required so she can get comfortable at her own pace. With patience and understanding, you’ll see her trust deepen and her sweet, gentle side come through. She thrives with encouragement (and the occasional chicken treat helps, too). Eva is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She isn’t guaranteed to be fully house trained, but will keep learning in a supportive home. If you’re committed to giving her time and respect, Eva will reward you with real companionship. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Eva
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Papillon mixes like Eva thrive in homes that provide lots of interaction, gentle guidance, and secure surroundings. She’ll feel most at ease in a calm but engaging environment, especially one willing to offer her patience as she continues to settle.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Eva doesn’t need a huge yard, but regular walks and a safe area for play are ideal for a Papillon mix. She enjoys running and the occasional zoomies, so a small fenced yard or trips to the park would suit her well.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Papillon mixes are generally gentle and affectionate. While Eva’s comfort with children isn’t confirmed, dogs of her breed often do well in families, especially those with calm, understanding kids able to respect her space.
